Do you want to practice your English language skills?
Come along to the ‘English Book Club’. We will discuss, in English, a book which you have read or listened to. Share your opinion and find out what others thought: an evening of literature and conversation.
We will read and debate 4 abooks all set in Scotland. The settings range from Victorian Glasgow, the island of Skye in the early 20th century, Edinburgh in the 1930's and back to Glasgow in the 1980's/90's,
The books are:
• To the Lighthouse, Virginia Woolf
• The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie, Muriel Spark
• Poor Things, Alasdair Gray
• Shuggie Bain, Douglas Stuart
Recommended English language skill: from level B2 or equivalent.
